My lg DVD RAM GH22NS50 is reading initially and hangs for some sometime and the DVD ram disappear fro my Computer.Again after removing the CD re start the computer it will appear.My OS is XP.I'm using a IDE to SATA adapter for this drive.

Hello, the problem is from the cd you inserted into the dvd rom, so it mean nothing is wrong with your DVD ROM. I think what you can do to make the DVD or CD work some how, is to use a dusting powder to clean it and try again. But thier is nothing wrong with your DVD ROM. Please vote me.
