TRACKS DO NOT SHOW AFTER LOADING ONTO USING MEDIA PLAYER MP3

Many MP3 players will not go to the menu when connected to the computer. You have to access them from the media player. It should not matter if you plug the MP3 into the USB ports on the front or back of your computer.

What kind of problem are you having with loading tracks from your media player? What media player are you using?

Your Samsung Hue can only play MP3 encoded files (extension mp3). If you have taken music that has been ripped using the windows media player, the default rip settings put the tracks into windows media audio format (wma) which your phone cannot read. You'll need to find a free wma to mp3 converter and convert your files to load onto your phone. You can also set Windows Media Player to default to MP3 when ripping under the Tools|Options menu item. Look under the RIP tab and change the default format to MP3. If you are already using MP3, it is possible that you are using to high of a Kbs rate on your MP3's in which case you'll need to be sure you rip tracks in a lower Kbs rate (also under the RIP tab in Windows Media Player). If its Sony NWZ-A815 MP3 player then install Media Manager software in PC to transfer mp3 media files in player.

Check player box as Media Manager software CD is supplied with player.

OR download software from Sony Support.

this just started happening to mine as well. and it loads each song onto my iriver instead of on a full CD.

Ignore the disc that comes with the player.
If using windows media player I simply ripped the tracks off the cd into mp3 to get them into the windows media library then synched the tracks to the player.
When you connect the USB cord between the computer and the player, windows media player will recognise it and show it in the left side bar.
Click on the mp3 player icon and then synch the tracks into the plyer list to import to the player (right side bar) I simply synch them all then remove the ones I dont want or drag and drop the mp3s from my media library into the player list to be synched.
Ignore totally the disc that comes with the player it is not required I think its only for 98 users to make it work it is not required with XP or Vista simply upload tracks to the player using a media player such as windows or real player.
So rip mp3s from the cd you want ....
When in mp3 mode (ignore if already mp3 on your pc) click the player icon when connected to the pc with the USB cable then select synch.

1. Connect your mp3 player to the computer

2. Open Windows Media Player

3. Click on the icon of your Mp3 player on the left-hand side of the Library

4. Click on the Songs, Tracks, or other Music Folder

5. Find a song or songs that you want to delete

6. Left-click the song once to highlight it

7. Press the “Delete” button on your computer’s keyboard

Could be that one of the tracks you have loaded is copy protected (DRM) some players just skip these tracks, some show a "File format not supported" error, and others freeze.

Go to the folder where you store the tracks you have loaded on to the player using My Computer or Windows Explorer, so that the individual tracks show.

Click on the Views icon and select Details

In the right hand windows, right click on one of the headings which have just appeared, and put a tick in the "Protected" box.

"Protected" will now appear as a heading and each file will show Yes or No.

Any files showing as Yes are not compatible with your player.

If you are downloading these files from the internet, then you'll have to look elsewhere for files.

If you are ripping your own CDs to .MP3 or .WMA with Windows Media Player, then you need to change a setting in Windows Media Player.

Open Windows Media Player. If visible, click on "Tools" then options. If the menus are not visible, right-click at the top of the Media Player Window, then select "Tools" and click options.

Click on the "Rip CD" or "Rip Music" tab (depending on version).

Remove the tick from the box next to "Copy Protect Music" (or similar)

This will stop DRM protection on any further tracks ripped.

You will need to rip any DRM tracks again.

Use Windows Media Player to delete

Re-rip in Windows Media Player, but convert to mp3 instead of wma - will solve your problem
