Question about American Standard Plumbing

I need a daigram of the drain overflow assembly for a Tf-7150 bathtub I bought one without a manual and i can't seem to figure out the drain system or if i am missing a gasket or part... This is a tub in Asia but the drain has an overflow/twist popup for the drain that i think is common... thanks!

Tub overflows are not required in all states but I highly recommend drilling the hole and installing the proper waste and overflow drain I recommend the Gerber brand and also when you set the tub you need to set it in a light concrete for stability I use great stuff foam for setting tubs 2 cans spray on floor and set and level tub tub will never wobble or move

Okay, remove 2 phillips head screws at lever handle/overflow.

Pull firmly with much effort and bowing the connecting rod a bit.

Up will come a heavy duty spring on the end of the rod.(prolly a big slimly hair ball too!)

Hope you get the spring, cause that's what works the drain stop.

If spring doesn't come out you'll have to "fish" it out.

Clean everything up real good and flush drain good also now.

The "Secret" now is to put the Lever,rod and spring assembly back in and replace screws and get the lever flipped to the left BEFORE you put the Drain Stop in.

yes it can be changed without removing the tub, but you must open up wall, floor whatever it takes to be able to see all this drainage, as you can see, you can't change the parts from in the tub,.....good luck, cracklin joe

Why does my geberit bath waste plug leak water?
It's adjustable. Remove the drain lever from the side of the tub. Now you can withdraw the whole drain assembly. Clean it well, then reinsert it to see if that fixed the problem. If not, try adjusting it longer.

The rotary knob that open and closes the drain is broken .Need the broken part. My jacuzzi whirlpool is model:OPALIA . Color :white. The part is brass
you would find that broken piece at your local jacuzzi whirlpool showroom. they will be the authorized dealership that will offer that part to you for sale.

There are only three places tank could leak without running on floor; 1 Flapper valve, even though you push on it, theres a possibility it might not be saeling right especially if it has a rubber ring that slides down over overflow tube. Tjis will sometimes contort the shape of the flapper. If it has such a ring and also has the ears to hook on to the hooks on overflow drain assembly, take the flapper out and cut the ring off . 2 if the overflow tube is not sealed and/or carcked below the water line, it will leak. 3 If the main drain assembly, where it goes through tank, is not sealed, it could possibly be getting past and still not leaking past seal between tank and bowl. Some fill valves will run a couple of seconds intermittantly and have to be adjusted but will not run all the time.

any drain and overflow kit will fit that hole. it is a standard size hole for that item

The problem is my bathtub won't drain.
on most applications, where the lever for the stopper is located, mounted just under the faucet, also serves as the overflow for the tub: unscrew that plate and then you can pull the stopper linkage out. maybe you have a bunch of gunk (hair, etc) blocking the drain. once you have the entire linkage out, boil about a gallon of hot water and pour it down the drain; immediately follow with HOT tap water; if it drains, GREAT, if it doesn't, just let the HOT water sit there for a few minutes; then get your hand plunger and go to work. be sure to block the overflow hole (where you took the plate off) with plastic so that when you are working the plunger, you get good suction.

The tub/water stopper...how do you take that off to unclog hair in the drain?
The overflow drain / stopper lever has 2 screws holding it in place, place a rag over the drain and remove the 2 screws. then remove the drain assembly, it should slide right out. You can now clean the assembly, you may still need a piece of wire to fish the hair out.

What purpose does a jacuzzi rotary drain serve? They only describe it as needed "for a smooth line." Seems expensive if it's just for appearance. Is it also a pump or grinder?
the rotary drain kit is just a drain kit that allows the user to open and close the drain via the rotary handle at the overflow..........it is mostly for aesthetics
