the best solution for you is to use a bluetooth usb adapter (if your pc doesnt have one) to transfer files. The advantages are much more with this connection than over the cable... the cost is minimal (in greece its about 12 euros) it will solve your problem and the most important thing is that bluetooth is compatible with all the mobiles so you will not need to install different softwares for different mobiles (which may mess up your xp) and use different cables. if for example your next mobile would be a samsung and your brother has a nokia and your father has Sony ericson what would you do ? install 3-4 diffrent softwares and connect / disconnect cables ??? no... - get a bluetooth...
hi there! you first have to install the driver software for your cell phone... as in windows Xp it shows MT6225... after installing the usb drivers when you connect your cell with usb cable on the cell phone a menu will appear... - Mass Storage - Com Port - Camera you have to select the mass storage option then your cell will show it self as a usb disk in PC... and if you have Memory card then there will be two usb drives appear in your My Computer Window.... you just have to copy paste your files...
