Hi my iPhone 3GS is dead. I have tried everything including charging it for 8 hours, holding the two buttons for up to 12 seconds, charge through my laptop with iTunes running and much more. When I put it...

It probably just a defective battery. Bring it to the apple store to see if you get a replacement through them. If you can't, there are third party iPhone repair services, that will fixed it for cheap. Also, I found an DYI iphone repair guide, so you can do it yourself too, not that difficult.

Sounds' like your battery is defective. Bring it to the apple store. If they want to charge you for a replacement phone, try to replace the battery yourself, part is on ebay and there is a guide that shows you how at : iPhone 3GS Repair Guide

Battery went dead earlier today, came home charged it for 6 hours, and no screen no service, what can i do?

Try taking the battery out of the phone hold the power button for at least 20 seconds and put the battery back in and reconnect the charger. If that doesnt reset the phone then i'd say your phone died and not the battery. Does it do anything at all with the charger hooked up? Any lights come on?

My iphone wont turn on or charge!!

That happened to me. Push the home and on/off buttons simultaneously until the apple logo appears, then wait until it has fully restored the system. This should work. Good luck
