My dewalt dw911 radio was working great. I put it away at the end of the day and in the morning the aux was not working properly. It only plays through the left speaker and half the channel is missing (ie: some of the music and the vocals are missing from the playback). The am/fm radio plays fine. Any thoughts?

Is the Aux jack plug or USB or other? its probably a poor connection, slide the plug/or USB in & out untill it works. the sliding in & out will cause the contacts to rub against each other and usually removes enough oxide to allow a connection again.

Got mine open.

There was a fuse inside - Replaceable - fixed the problem.

There were no hidden screws, none under stickers or in the battery box like suggested by others, and the 2 magic release screws not so. There are several deep screws requiring a long philips, but the entire seam is glued (why?) so to open the radio I had to hit the body near the seam with a rubber hammer to crack the seam loose once all the screws were removed, comes right apart. Put it back together without glue, just the screws, it will be fine.

If you pull of the back cover you will find two small fuses near power supply, one of these allows power from battery pack, check with voltmeter for open circuit, I take it that it is not just one battery it does this with.

Have you changed the AA Batteries, this is often the fault, when they are flat they lock the radio out. HHM Dewalt Service

I have a Dewalt radio (Dw911) that will only play off the battery, not the power cord. I have checked both fuses and found both to be good. It sounds as if this is a common issue but I have found no...

Mine had the same problem .Try swapping the fuses. Although the fuse looked good mine was bad. Easy fix I hope. Going to auto parts store for new ones.

My dewalt dw911 radio/charger works on either mains or battery but wont charge a battery and blows an internal fuse when both are used together

More than likely your internal charger is faulty. Inside your inernal charger unit check the 2 anmp fuse which is white in colour.

Sorry but does the dw911 xe type 1 radio charge the battery

Yes, the DeWalt radio will recharge the batteries, from the 12 Volt to 18 Volt versions. However, even with the radio plugged into an AC outlet, you have to either have the radio turned on, or have the unit in the AUX setting, in order for the batteries to get charged.

It typicaly takes about an hour +/- to fully charge a discharged battery. I normally don't put batteries directly into a charger right after they become discharged from being used in a tool, since they are still warm from use and charging them will generate more heat in the recharging
process.

Heat is the enemy of rechargeable batteries, so to get the longest working life out of your batteries, I'd let them cool down first, before recharging them, unless you absolutely need to use them right away, then go ahead and recharge them. If you can delay recharging them until they've cooled down, you'll get a more fuller recharge out of them.

Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!

My Dewalt dc911 charger works but no sound?

Try and plug something in the aux. If you don't hear sound out of the aux when you plug something like your cd player in then your speaker cables have come off the circuit board or the out put transistor has gone on the radio. Sell on Ebay these go for a good price faulty.
