I'm not 100% sure I read the code right for mine. It flashed 15 times. What does that mean?

Have you tried pressing in the menu and input/device buttons both in together on the front of the set and hold them both in together for 5 seconds to see if the set will blink a two digit error code? Try that and then let me know if it blinked a code. Please reply to this same post when replying. Thanks

Green LIght Blinking

Does the led ever stop blinking? No ..well in that case generally this indicates a standby voltage problem...if all those voltages ok then the cuircit known as digital module is at fault. also make sure the lockout has not been activiated. i really dont think it could but to unlock hold menu button down for 10 seconds. After all that i believe it would be a bad digital module

Big Screen Televison problem

1) pull chassis ( requires un-hooking extensive wire runs)
2) turn chassis upside-down
3) solder any / all bad connects, esp. regulator pins
Look for electrolytic capacitor leakage evidence =
dark,discoloration of trace material
4) replace any bad capacitors
5) re-install chassis and test

When i plug in my tv the screen stays black and wont come on

Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
Your Mittsubishi has a system the will cause the green light to blink for 70 seconds when first plugged in, if the green light never stops blinking it is either a power supply issue or a stuck keyboard button.
So do the test and reset it to see if the light stops blinking or not.

If I have helped you with your issue
If you have more questions you can still respond
I will reply asap
Thanks

Flashing green light

Did you try this yet

SYSTEM RESET
If the TV will not respond to either the remote control
or the front panel controls and/or will not power Off,
press the SYSTEM RESET button with a pointed item
like the end point of a paperclip. The TV will turn Off
and the TIMER light will flash quickly for about one
minute. When the TIMER light stops flashing, you may
turn on the TV again. Changes you made the last time
the TV was On before you used the SYSTEM RESET
button may be lost, however, the changes you made
previously are not lost.
POWER/TIMER Indicator
The green light is a multi-function indicator. This light
will flash rapidly for about one minute each time the TV
is plugged into the wall electrical outlet, when power
is restored after a power failure, or using the SYSTEM
RESET button. Do not attempt to turn on the TV again
during this period. Wait for the flashing to stop and
the light to turn off, before attempting to turn the TV
on. While the TV is powered on, the light illuminates
steadily. If the TV has been programmed to turn on
automatically using the Timer feature,

There is a tiny reset button to the left of the timer light. Press with a pin or something small, wait 60 seconds. Viola!

Blinking green timer light and fan turning on randomly, now no power at all

SYMPTOM: Power LED does not stop blinking after plug in.
CURE: Check C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4 (1000 uFD, 16V, 105C) on the DM PCB.
Check C8F19, C8F21, C8F22 and C8F27 (1000 uFD, 16V, 105C) on the FMT PCB.
If any are bad, replace all of them with part # 181P734030 (680 uFD, 16V, 105C).
thanks

Green Timer lights blinks for about 10 sec. Then Lamp light, then nothing

Definitely sounds like a power supply problem. Check with your local TV repair/service center about getting it repaired or replaced.

Green LIght Blinking

replace the DM or have someone repair the DM. The capacitors are bad and someone who knows how to repair circuit boards can replace them

Mitsubishi 55" big screen TV powers down after 70 secs We had a power outage in the neighborhood, after which our Mitsubishi 1080 HDTV WS-55909 only had a blinking green light on the front (no variation or pattern), even after the set was powered down. Upon reading online, it appeared the DM module capacitors were the likely culprit, so I sourced (7)1000 microfarad capacitors and replaced them, then reassembled the TV. This was the first time I'd soldered on a circuit board, so of course a lot of things might have gone wrong. However, after that the TV now powers up, but I only have a blue screen and cannot get the remote to work except to power the TV on and off (tried changing batteries in remote, reprogramming remote per setup manual, etc). Further, the TV powers off after 1 min and 15-20 seconds. I then tried to see if I could get any of the attached devices to work on their own with no other devices on except the TV. Each of them yielded a blue screen (X-Box, VCR/DVD recorder, Wii, cable) except the DVD player -- which displayed a great picture! The problem is the DVD will play 1 min 15 seconds then the TV will shut down and the green light will blink steadily (no pattern) for 60 seconds, then power down. And this only works if the DVD is on before the TV is turned on, and since the remote doesn't work I have to press "play" on the DVD player. The DVD is hooked to Component Input 2 so that input appears to be working fine. The VCR/DVD recorder is attached to Component Input 1. When I had it powered up and turned on the TV, I got a blue screen. However, when I left the VCR/DVD on and then turned on the DVD, there were jagged lines on the TV for 3-5 seconds, then the TV made a popping sound and shut off. When I then turned on the TV (i.e., with both the VCR/DVD and the DVD on first), the DVD worked but could not switch to the VCR/DVD without the TV turning off. I also tried switching the cabling for the DVD to Component Input 1, but the DVD no longer worked. When I tried the VCR/DVD on Component Input 2, it still only yielded a blue screen. So is Component Input 1 bad? And why would the TV work with the DVD in Component Input 2 but not the VCR/DVD? Obviously I have multiple problems here. The first one to deal with is the TV shutting off after 1.25 minutes. I am unable to see where I can get an error code when the blinking light just blinks quickly without any pattern, and neither the front panel controls nor the remote control work. Perhaps most of my inputs on the rear of the TV don't work now except Component Input 2 but I don't know how to test this. So I made a little headway with the capacitor replacements, but not sure what I can do at this point. Any suggestions? I've seen references for other Mitsubishi big screens that shut down like this, and the fix was related to the output power module, but not sure if it applies the the WS-55909. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide. estout7
