Always says paper jammed but there is no paper jaming inside

If it jams every time, remove the duplexer and look for a piece of paper on the metal plate as the paper feeds out of the duplexer and back into the machine. Also use a file folder to push any jammed paper out from inside the duplex module.

check if there is any piece of paper is jamed inside your printer i think that is why your printer always says paper jam

hi there shuld be paper inside or may be when u removed jamed paper not proper way some pice of paper struck in the sensor thats why paper jamed lit up clear the whole paper path it will solve problem if not there is any path sensor not working good just clean the path sensors

Thanks for using FixYa. Perform the steps below in order to solve this incidence:

1. Disconnect the power cord or power supply adaptor from the rear of the HP All-in-One product.
2. Remove the paper pack remaining in the input tray.

WARNING - Do not try to remove the jammed paper sheet yet. Trying to clear a paper jam from the front of the device can damage the print mechanism. Always clear paper jams through the rear access door.

1. Open the rear access door or the two-sided printing accessory.
2. Gently pull the jammed paper sheet out of the rollers.
3. If the paper tore when it was being removed from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might remain inside the device. If not all the pieces of paper are removed from the device, paper jams are likely to occur again later.
4. Replace the rear access door or the two-sided printing accessory.
5. Restart the printer to continue the current job.

1-st of all please tell us what printer model do you have and what kind of paper are you using.

Where is the paper jamming? Out of the paper tray or under the drum or in the fixing unit? Did you make sure you have the paper tray set up to the correct paper size and orantation for the paper in the paper tray and dose it happen at any other time and where is it jamed up at. Need more info.

paper jam or missfeed always due tothe following:-
1-malefunction of paper feeding system due to broken gears belt chain please check smoth mechnical movement and apply light grease in gears and change any broken part.
2-something is blocking the paper path (staplers-pins)droped inside.
3-malefunction of paper detection micoswitch please confirm free operation for the lever in mechnical one and clean of dust and dirt from optical one,

Sometimes there is little bits of paper stuck inside a sensor causing the printer to detect a jam. Use an air duster can to and shoot some air at all the sensors. The sensors look like little plastic fingers that get pushed down when paper moves over them.

We had a printer with the same problem, and turning the pickup wheels inside out (on the back of the paper tray) solved the problem.
