I have a psc 2210 the HP Director will not open

The reason may be that the software is not installed properly. Did you try to scan from computer?

From computer you can try from Hp Director/ HP Solution Center or from scanner and camera wizard.

uninstall the printer and install the drivers back frm HP.com

below is a link for the patch for the image director software. This is mainly for Windows XP and after you have upgraded Internet Explorer. Any revision to internet explorer after IE6 needs this patch for the director to work.

Uninstall all HP software from your PC and download the "Basic functionality driver" from the HP website, then scan using another program, like paint shop pro, photoshop or Imaging.

NOT ONLY UNISTALL IT , you have to go to : START , SEARCH , then write HP psc 2210 , whatever appears DELETE them , you have to be sure that is clean and no left files of the program , then try again and INSTALL using the provided CD disk , I own the
HP 2410 , and it happen to me before . good luck , AJ

HP Director simply doesn't open? Check your version of Internet Explorer. If you've recently installed Internet Explorer 7, you will need to download the update on the HP website. Go to hp.com, click "Software & Driver Downloads", enter your product, choose your operating system, and there should be an update/patch for Director issues with IE7. Hope this helps.

it's not unusual to get an older set of drivers with a new computer. See if new drivers from here work for you

ok...try a test page first, with printer off the computer completely

and..check for newest printer drivers here

Choose which model of the 2210 all in one series you have, click on Software and Driver Downloads and then click on the button that says Check.

 

This will check to see that you have the most recent version of the driver.
