I have a Jura Impressa 27. The tray, for some odd reason, was not going back in. I simply tried it without the top part - that receives the grounds - and was finally able to get it in. I pulled it back out and found some grounds that had been dumped. It seems something was stuck that wouldn't allow it back in with the top part. Then after I was able to put both pieces back in without a problem.
The drip tray should fit easily. Its just a placement on the base part.It fits easily. If its not fitting properly, then may be its mechanism is got cracked or you are not inserting the tray properly. Remove the tray out and match its corners to the coffee machine, then place it carefully.----------
Also check the under side the lower base side of tray, if there is something got loose or cracked, then that can be the other possibility of drip tray not getting fitted properly.--------
Check out.Keep updated.Thanks.Helpmech.

I fixed this issue myself hours before and sent an email to inform you! The problem was nothing to do with cracks or the above, this is my third Jura machine and have had a great track record with all of them. It seems as though some coffee grounds had got wedged in the mechanism and jammed it. Managed to use a soft brush to clean it out and repeated the vacuum process. So was glad to get my cup of coffee after. Thanks anyway
