Emerson lcd tv/dvd combination televison model LD 200EMB

The DVD938 only has analog audio input (2.1 channel), thats why you have only a white (left channel) and red (right channel) audio connection from your ps3 to the home theatre. There is an option called PROLOGIC in the setup menu that will simulate 5.1 with the 2.1, it basically takes the 2.1 channels and splits it into all the speakers.

It has nothing to do with how you hooked it up, It is just not compatible with that (TV) I hate to tell you,

i would also suggest buying a really nice universal remote from logitec its called the harmony it runs about 30 bucks for the 420 model with an lcd screen. from amazon.com it allows you to connect to your pc to install all the codes for all your devices by just telling the software what tv dvd player etc you have. and unlike most universal remotes it will control everything at once nolonger needing to hit the tv button to change channels and home theater or dvd button to turn on movies and change volume also lets u set up other activities where if you want to watch a movie it will turn on the dvd player, home theater system and tv to the right inputs same thing with gaming and everything different activities one press of the button and everything is set up. also it has a nice on screen lcd with a help built in that will allow you to fix a problem if u accidentally set up a setting wrong via the pc it will fix it and store it in memmory

the HDMI cable sends dato TO the TV, it does not have enuf bandwidth to send both to and from, just TO. 

just either use rca jacks from the dvd to the tv,,u know ..the red,yellow,and white cables,,,,that will do it,,,using the rca jacks ,,make sure to set the the dvd/reciever settings to anolog

No they all are compatible with eachother no matter what brand tv,surrround sound. It is all in the hook up & without you stating how you have it hooked up,no way to tell because one siimple connection is all you r missing. You have it most way there if sound is ok on dvd.If you explain how you have it hooked up i can surley help you!!

YOU NEED TO HOOK YOUR RCA CABLES FROM YOUR DVD,TV,AND DIGITAL CABLE TO THE INPUT SIDE OF THE SURROUND. HOOK THE RCA CABLES FROM THE TV TO THE AUX SIDE AND THE DVD TO THE VCR INPUT, AND THE DIGITAL TO TH LD SIDE OF THE INPUT YOU CAN SWITCH BETWEEN THE 3 ON THE FRONT OF THE SURROUND.BY MOVING THE KNOB. YOU WILL GET NOISE FROM THEM THEN TO THE SPEAKERS.
