YOU MUST HAVE THIS THING CHECKED OUT BY AN EXPERT. IT IS A FIRE HAZARD. Even if the thermostat was a closed circuit, the furnace would be working all of the time but it would not be overheating to the point of warping parts. You are either overfiring or your blower is not running all of the time. If it's a blower problem, clean out the dirt and dust and oil the motor. If the motor is not running, replace the fan control or the motor. If the furnace is overheating, your gas regulator might be bad allowing to much gas pressure to the furnace. Also, make sure that the burner orifice's are the correct size for the heater.

Vulcan has backup, if you ever do need a spare part for your Vulcan, it's good to know they are readily available across the country and can be serviced by most plumbers or electricians.
