Scanner test keeps failing

Should be a standard USB device cable. Any half decent home electronics store sells them. The same cable is used to connect most USB printers.

plz give my umax astra 3400 driver for win 7 32 bit in my e-mail id [email protected]

install the vista drivers if any and maybe xp ive got things to work before

dowload vistascan vs375u (11,674KB) and open it you will receive 6 disks+1 disk german and 1 disk english. open the disk 1 and double click VSSETUP you will see a lot of DOS commands and at the end you will have VISTASCAN in the Programs Files ( Start--All Programs--VistaScan--enter) .
If Scanner test works O.K.
if not
- go to MyComputer right click,
- click hardware,
-click device manager,
-right click the UMAX Astra
-click update driver
-click "install from a specific location" Next "Don't search I will chose the driver to install"-- Next -- choose USB scanner (Not UMAX Astra 3400) --Next--
- you will receive a warning " continue anyway" finish
- Reboot.
open VISTASCAN Test it will pass now

Solution is VistaScan X CD only for Windows XP, when you use it withaout Internet-Connection (local)

But you've some costs...

Did ou do a clean download and install ( meaning did you turn off all running programs including your virus.firewall software while downloading and installing)? If you did not the file may be corrupted.
You will need to turn off and unplug the scanner
Uninstall what is there
Start over with a Clean download and install ( Be absolutely sure you are downloading the correct driver for your scanner and Op sys.)

Also go to toolbar>tools>internet options>general tab> and delete your cookies before you download.


This should do it, if it does not, please let me know.

the link above will take you to the drivers you require, it says windows me but also in the comments it says for XP as well.
