Please note that ipod's generally uses itunes to load songs. Make sure u have an updated itunes installed in your system, after that, what you have to do is open the music folder of the songs u want to load and also open the itunes with your ipod detected, then simply drag from the music folder and paste in the ipod of the itunes. Once again, you need an itunes to be able to access and load your ipod. Goodluck.

I have an ipod classic 160gb and i go under settings/main menu and i have radio checked isnt it supposed too??

Do you mean that you don't have access to the radio because you need the optional radio piece which connects to the bottom of the device if you wish to use the radio. You can either purchase the radio device or go without radio.

Hi Ben3230, I have the same problem with my ipod nanno (2nd gen). If I connect the nanno up to the usb socket in the centre console of my 2010 Ford Focus, the tacks display on the screen but no sound. I purchased a 3.5mm jack and connected that from the ipod to the 3.5mm jack in the centre console (as well as the usb lead) and suddenly music. Hope that solves your problem.

Ipod 6th Generation won't connect to VM9412

All I can tell through my searching, is that the Jlink only works on gen3-gen5 ipods. I have a gen 6 80gb classic, and while I can hear the audio from the movie playing, I have no video. Music plays fine.

PHILLIPS HTD 7001 IPOD DOCKING STATION

I also have the same problem but now I think it's the type of I-Pod you use. Do you use the I-Pod 80 Gb video or the newer 160 Gb I-Pod with the cover flow etc. ? The documention of the HTD7001 says it's only support some I-Pods. I would know sure if I would have a type of Video I Pod wich is supported by the documentation

IPod 160 Classic

From an Amazon Post: 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful: stars-3-0._v47082372_.gif An iPod Classic 160gb CAN BE made to work with one of these units, December 22, 2007 By Technophile "Technophile" (Detroit, MI USA) - See all my reviewsThere is a way to make the iPod Classic 160 gb work with the Philips line of Portable DVDs with iPod docking but its awkward and requires the purchase of Apple's Composite AV Cable ($50). Apple installed in the 6th generation iPods what amounts to an electronic lock. When you set the player up to send out video externally it will ask you to "Please Connect Video Accessory". It's looking for the sixth generation Apple Composite AV Cable plug. Somewhere embedded in the plug's configuration is the key to the lock that the player is looking for. Once you insert this plug the movie you have selected will begin to play and all you have to do then is remove the cable and insert the unit into the dock and you should see your video displayed. As i said before, this is an awkward work around and should you go back to the main menu to select a different movie you will have to perform these steps again. For those of you (like me) who were stuck with one of these units, this work around just might make you feel a little better about your purchase. Good Luck!!!!
