It sounds like the problem is in your computer, hook a spare monitor to verify, if you have the same problem, it is your tower that needs to be checked out.

if the message you recieve is no input signal if only means that you have a problem with your video card, the monitor is fine but you need to have your video card check

Monitor in sleep mode

This problem could be caused by windows or the monitor .You need to hook up your monitor to another computer and see if you get the same response. If you do check and see in the owners manual if there is a control for power management.Find the control and try to adjust it, or turn it off. If all this does not work than you need to take the monitor in for servicing. If the monitor works, you may have a problem with the computer bios or windows itself. Check all power management controls in the bios and window settings and see if you can find the problem.Check the Microsoft website for this problem with your operating system and a solution. Hope this helps.

HP vs17e My screen went black for a few moments and when it

Switch off and on your PC and hold down the F5 key and this should bring up your PC in Safe Mode. If this fails, then find a PC repair shop to replace the power supply.

No DVi input, then computer goes to sleep

Hi publicworker,

I had a similar problem whereas my monitor went to sleep mode after a few minutes. I'm running an HP LP 2065 in dual mode with another HP flat screen. However, I did resolve the issue after resetting the output settings.

How to do that:
  • right mouse click on the desktop
  • select graphic options
  • output to
  • extended desktop
Maybe some changings/modification will help you too.

Screen

Just turn the monitor off and on,,it should cure the problem,,also,,,tap the space bar on your laptop,,,,also,,you may want to change your settings on your laptop to prevent it going into sleep mode, or standby state,,which is what is causing this problem with your monitor.

Can u help me?

this is system power scheme, to save power when the machine doesn't detect any action on the keyboard of the mouse for a preset time frame.
go to control panel>power options and change the hard drive shunt down time, and the monitor shunt down time to what ever you like.
