Him I am trying to download the driver for Philips Laptop Cam SPC 610NC and having problems. I have Windows XP Pro SP3. Firstly I got to download the driver, but when I connected the Webcam It said a problem occured during hardware installtion and couldn't get the webcam to work. So i uninstalled the cam and drivers and reloaded them, now I am getting a error message saying "Failed to Setup Driver:1224" I have removed the drivers and uninstalled the Hardware from DEvice manager but this error still comes up. So in summary, two issues, one thing is the cam would not work and second is now the dirver will not be installed on my laptop. PLEASE HELP!

What you need to do is update your usb drivers. Follow instrution below.

Firstly re-insert your web cam.

USB driver update in
WindowsXP
Click Start -> Control Panel -> System
Click the tab Hardware and then click on Device manager
Click at the bottom of the tree on the + sign before Universal Serial Bus controllers
Select the first entry, right mouse click and click on Update driver...


If your are using windows 2000 use the one below

USB driver update in
WindowsXP
Click Start -> Control Panel -> System
Click the tab Hardware and then click on Device manager
Click at the bottom of the tree on the + sign before Universal Serial Bus controllers
Select the first entry, right mouse click and click on Update driver...

Click on the tab Driver and click on the button Update Driver.
Follow the steps to update the USB driver
