Hi I have a upright 'Proline' freeze which seams to be running all the time and during the last few days the temp gage has moved in to the green area. I turned on the rapid freeze light and it has taken two days to move to just into the yellow. Also the side of the freezer (about 500mm from the base close to the door) is quite warm/hot to touch. Any ideas? Steve

The fridge has lost it's refrigerant charge. The leak needs to be found and repared before new gas can be added.

Lasting plastic smell

Obviously, this should not be! First, we need to know if the coffee maker is working correctly. If you have a candy/oven thermometer, check the output temp of the water. Be careful...it will be hot! The correct temp should be about 180-185 degrees. If it is hotter than that...return the machine. It has a defective thermostat.

What you can do about the taste: try taking some baking soda and mix it with the feed water. Use about 2 tablespoons in at least two cups of water. Then, add plain water. The baking soda can't hurt you but throw it away and clean the pot. Now, take some water and run it through. If the taste is gone...enjoy! If not, try another unit.
