How do I setup my voicemail to my KXDT333 on a SECOND line (with a different voicemail if possible)?

I don't know my extension. While this is a business phone, it's used at home and we have two separate phone numbers: one reached using button 1 and one reached using button 2. Thus, I am having trouble setting up my voicemail even with your instructions.

I have time warner and there is no extension to my phone line. I just called in and found this out.

Basically we have two phone lines with dissimilar numbers. One can be accessed by default and the other, you must press the 2 button in order to use it. I need to setup voicemail on the second line.

Hi, well to set a second voicemail up, please use the manuals supplied, as for setting up as usual, whenever I need to set a second one up, I always go to another phone, so that that phone defaults to the 2nd account, So setup one account as normal on phone one, go to phone two access 2nd line and setup voicemail for that one..This way each phone has it's own default, but each, well all phones now on the system can, actually, can then access each other... OK?

Also I think one has to organise a voice mail account with the service provider, and make sure that each line actually has a voicemail mail box assigned to it in the first place.

Some systems only allow ONE voicemail,as default. (sometimes others can be added)

Hello,

Dial your extension. Wait for the greeting to say that you are at your voice mailbox. This is also the "Quick Voice Mail Tutorial Set Up."

Follow the instructions provided in the tutorial. You will be asked to enter your name (or company name), password and greeting. Write down the password and keep it in a safe place.
Record other greetings, if needed. After the tutorial, you have an option to add different messages for different situations. Press "311" to change your general greeting. Use "312" to record a message for when the line is busy. Dial "315" to record a temporary greeting for when you are away for an extended period of time, such as vacation.

In addition, visit this link below and read the information on page 9. I think it will be of help.

Good luck.

If you don't know your extension, you can contact your service provider and they should give it to you.

The system would have set that 165 are the voicemail ports so the voicemail must be plugged into these ports .usually the last extension on the system Once connected dial 164 then 3. 1. 1 and follow the peompts

How to check voicemail messages

I assume you mean voicemail messages taken by voicemail service on your telephone line, the ones indicated by a flashing "voicemail" indicator on the phone. You may need to contact your service provider as not all systems are the same, but here's how it usually works. From your home phone, dial your own number so that the voicemail answers. Press the "*" button and you'll be prompted to enter your passcode. (The default passcode is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number, and you enter a new one when you go through mailbox setup.) Once you've entered the passcode and are in the voicemail system, voice prompts guide you through how to access messages and make setup changes. To process is usually the same to check your messages when you're away, although some service providers may give you a different access number to call. Again, check with your service provider for all the details if your system is different.

I have a panasonic kx-dt333 phone and I am wondering how i can check my voicemail messages when I am out of the office.

When the auto attendant answers, press #6 then * and your extension. It will be just like you had diealed 165 or 500 from the phone on your desk. Unless, of course, you have a ESVM or non-TVx voice mail system.

Does not wait for the 4th ring; sends call to verizon voice mail box after the second ring

Sounds like your service provider(Verizon) has your phone line setup to forward to voicemail on no answer after 2 rings. Call your service provider's customer service number and request that the number of rings for forward no answer be increased to at least 5, then your answer machine can receive and answer your calls after 4 rings but if your line is busy callers can leave a message with your Verizon voicemail service. If you don't want Verizon voicemail to answer any of your calls, you could have them disable the voicemail service. When you call the service provider have a recent bill ready because they may request your account number before they will make any changes.

NEED detailed instructions on how to set up voicemail box

You don't get detailed on a free forum, but I can suggest something. A Panasonic VM usually has the access code of 500. If you don't get an answer when you dial 500 you may not have a TVA voicemail system attached to your Key Service Unit and the following instructions won't apply.

When you dial up 500 on the intercom, the lady in the box will play something, either a "welcome" message, or a "please enter your password" or just "you have x messages". If you don't get any of that, did it get installed in the first place? Once you get there, follow the setup menus to record your greetings, name, and set a password. The access to VM is done by dialing *710x 500 # on your phone where the x is a condition 2/3/4/5. See your user's guide for condition or just try it and look at the display for ALL/BUSY/NO ANSWER and B-NA.
If your voice mail box does not exist, the system owner can add a mailbox from the 999 admin mailbox.

If you have an internal voice mail system, it uses 591 and 592 codes to set up.

Razr v3 setting up voice mail

Which mobile service carrier do you use? Are you trying to setup voicemail to play your messages on your phone, or are you trying to setup greetings and what not inside of the voicemail?

Your voicemail settings depend on where you live, and there are hundreds of different access numbers. If you are trying to setup the phone to connect to voicemail and are on Cingular/AT&T, call them at 800-331-0500 from a different phone and they can walk you through the setup easily since they have access to the appropriate voicemail access number for your location.
