Sony Handycam CCD-TRV58 Hi-8 Analog Camcorder 1. Per the manual on esupport.sony.com - if the power is disconnected door won't open, and if the battery is the dead the door won't open. Plug it in and hopefully you can get the tape out.
Hi, My Sony DCR-HC32 handycam's tape mechanism is giving me some problem. It ejects and the tape deck opens up properly but after putting a tape and closing it, the tape deck does not go in. I tried with or without tape but it doesn't go in. It is still open. Can you please suggest how it could be fixed? Thanks, Pramod
Tape can not be inserted backward in.It is impossible to to insert cassette inside video wrong way. If it is not ejecting its eject switch might have got broken by physically pulling its cassette compartment outward before closing last time. Its mini switch is very fragile in all sony models. so only way is to take to technician to bring it out.If i were you,I would buy used one from ebay at lower price than repairing.
Hi there,
It is possible on the CAM mode the tape reached to the end, or this is
typecal problem from Sony the sensor it detecting 2 reels to turning the tape were faulty. It require to replace the cassette compartment or it call LS chassis assy. It will cost about $200, $250 in Australia to repair it
Common problem with this mechanism. In order to fix the problem you will have to replace part called CHASSIS LS. Expensive repair, probably not worth the effort.
HERE'S WHAT WORKED FOR ME PER SONY TECHS:
Take? OUT the battery or disconnect the AC cord.
Turn the camera ON (tape, memory, edit settings) for 15 seconds.
Turn camera to off setting.
Plug battery or AC cord back in.
VOILA!
Worked for me and I had the stupid C32:11 error code for weeks! Door would not close. Followed the SIMPLE and SAFE instructions and IT WORKED! Just like magic. I couldn't believe it! Save your money TRY THIS!
My camera won't play back. Occasionally, if I ffwd it will show the picture otherwise its a blank screen. Any ideas? I've tried cleaning the heads a few times now
