Question about Kenwood Food Processors

I have an old model Kenwood food processor deluxe - model A530 and am distraught that i cannot find where to purchase attachment replacements - mine have all become brittle with age and falling apart. also the bowl shaft is cracked and will eventually need replacing. where do I go to for spares? i am in Johannesburg, South Africa

Hi there,

As another South African citizen I can sympathize with you when it comes to finding service & after care support.
Kenwood S.A.'s website tells you to take it back to the store where you purchased it. Great help that is?
They do however give a JHB number where you can contact them:

You can get the Motor Shaft Covers for most if not all Cuisinart models from their customer service. They are not shown on the web under parts, but if you call them, they can help you get the right part. Just have your model # ready. For many, the part is $3 plus shipping and handling.

Lid for my moulinex Foodprocessor needs replacing
Moulinex went bankrupt in about 2001 and the name was purchased by Groupe SEB. They do not have a United States presence anymore, and I doubt they would have the parts still in stock. Your best bet is to buy one from eBay - just search for your exact model #. Once in a blue moon, you will see a parts-only listing, but generally you will have to buy an old machine that comes with the parts that you need.

I would sell you mine, but I'm kind of attached to my Moulinex La Machine :-)

Sunbeam Food Processor/Le Chef 14-11, 14-1A
My mom gave me her Le Chef that had several cracks in the handel and also the place where the handel attaches to the bowel with a screw was broken. I Used Loctite super glue for the crackes in the handel and a loctite epoxy putty that can be molded into the shape needed to fix the place where the screw attaches the handel to the bowel. After the putty set I sanded it to refine its shape and matched the screw hole in the bowel with the handel then drilled a small polit hole in the handel. I slipped the handel into the slot in the bowl and attached it with the screw and now I have a good as new Le Chef.
