Iphone 2g. Had cannot connect to you tube message and sorted this through cydia. Now cant receive emails and in cydia message says error refreshing data. Please help!

This can happen with Jailbroken iPhones.

You can load MxTube instead.

What To Do When YouTube Doesn't Work On iPhone Or iPod Touch
Ever had to restore your iPod touch or iPhone? Has your YouTube app showed the message "Cannot Connect To Youtube?" Well, Lucky For You I Have Two Solutions.

Solution #1: Jailbroken iPod Touch/iPhone

1. Open Cydia/Rock
2. Go to sources page
3. Press Edit
4. Press Add
5. Type : http://fishbone.ge
6. Press Ok
7. Wait for Sources to Refresh
8. Enter Search Function
9. Search for "PushFix" install the Pushfix's in increasing order (e.g 1,2,3)
10. Restart iPhone/iPod
11. Done

Solution #2 (Non Jailbroken)

1. Enter Settings
2. Enter General
3. Enter Date/Time
4. Correct Time Zone settings
5. Correct time, day and YEAR
6. HOLD Home + Wake/.Sleep Button
7. Wait for iPhone/iPod to Restart
8. Your Good To Go

After getting my iphone 2g jailbroken on redsnow, no cydia logo can be found? how can i have cydia? shall i rejailbreak it?
Hm, it sounds like you may have choosen to option not to install cydia while jailbreaking? And if you didn't maybe something went wrong.
Either way, the only way to get Cydia is to re-jailbreak it then - which should not be too hard.

CANT IMPORT SIM CONTACTS AFTER IPHONE 3.0 SOFTWARE UPDATE
The problem is, for whatever reason, the new iPhone firmware does not allow special characters to be imported onto the new phone.

So the only solution is to:
Get a different phone.
Put your SIM card into that phone.
Access your phone book from said phone.
Delete any contact using characters other that A-Z. This includes !@#$%^&*() And the like.

Once deleted just pop your SIM card back into your iPhone and import. It should now work.

I cant receive or send emails or BB Instant Messages on my BB
It needs to say "GPRS" or "EDGE" in the top right hand corner in captial letters. If there is lower case letters, this indicates the phone is having an issue with the data connection.

Have you been able to send/receive email whilst in the country you are in now?

Most obvious things first, remove the battery, then re-insert and reboot. This will reboot the phone and create a new connection to the Blackberry server. Let me know how that goes.

hi condado....

i was asking, because you can add things to cydia sources, but then you later have to install them.... but this doesn't seem to be the case,

you need to go into your general settings (iphone settings, nothing to do with cydia) and in the various areas, ringtones, backgrounds, etc... your themes parts should appear on the list as options for you to choose.

if you don't see anything in there, you'll need to go back to cydia and see if you have only added it to your sources and still need to install the theme.
