You can try reseating the print head.
Click on Service and Support, then type in 5 flashing lights. Click on the first result, then the first on the solutions list.

Will not print cyan

The cyan print head may be blocked. Try several deep cleaning of the print head to see if it can clear the blocked cyan print nozzles. Also check the cyan cartridge, make sure it is not empty.
If none of this works then the print head needs to be replaced. NOTE the print head is not a cheap item, you may consider putting the money towards a new and better printer.

I have a canon i960 printer. It won't print blue. All other colors work fine. I've replaced the ink, downloaded new drivers, run the clean print head utilities, both regular and deep cleaning. What do...

I would guess that the printhead is bad. Google cleaning printheads or get a new one. Sometimes , not always you can clean the printhead instead of replacing. (take out and clean by hand)

On my ip2000 the power light flashes green then amber and turns itself off

Canon PIXMA IP2000
You may RESET the printer code first if you like or do it after you clean the pad
In some cases you may need to REMOVE THE PRINT HEAD FIRST or the reset code will not work. This was true of the S900 and i960 so, remove the print head first before doing this reset.
This is the correct code for the S and I (like i960) series of printers. (M series below this)
1) Power off printer
2) Hold RESUME button then press and hold POWER. (The beeper MAY sound once, or may not depending on your model.)
3) Hold POWER and Release RESUME.
4) Press RESUME twice then release both POWER and RESUME buttons.
5) When the indicator lights steady, press RESUME 4 times (for the S900, 3 times for the 8200 apparently).
6) Press power to set data.
7) Print away!
For other codes for other printers and more info go here to this big forum (but try the above first) Fix Your Own Printer Generally many of Canon's models use exactly this same code, the i models use the same code, all the s models use the same code.

The printer flashes orange light five times, and green once

Probably your waste ink counter. Should be cleaned or replaced before resetting but usually you can get away with resetting once.
1. Start with printer OFF
2. Hold down RESUME and then hold down POWER
3. Release RESUME
4. press RESUME twice, then release POWER
5. let green light blink until printhead has finished moving.
6. Select functions below with RESUME, execute with POWER

0 presses - green light - Test Print (exit service for i960)
1 press - orange light - EEPROM info print
2 presses - green light - EEPROM initialise
3 presses - orange light - reset waste ink counter.

This also applies to the i550, i560, i950, i960

Canon i960 qill not put ink on paper

I called Canon. I also had green 1 flash and amber 1flash everytime I turned on the printer. That right there indicates an elecrical problem. The flashes mean it needs serviced and with it not printing now means it's not wirth fixing, out of warranty. Canon did offer a code for reduced price new or referbished print from them.
