Hi, My Bosch Model B20CS50 SNI/01 side by side refrigerator/freezer is not freezing completely on the freezer side and consequently the ice maker is not making ice because the temperature wont go low enough. I have the setting on the door panel set to -6 degrees (the coldest setting). 3 days ago after reading the troubleshooting guide in the owners manuel, I defrosted the unit by emptying the freezer and unplugging for aprox 10-12 hours. The problem is still there. The ice cubes won't freeze. I notice some frost / ice forming on the back inside panel in the center behind the middle shelf and things in the bottom of the freezer seem to be more frozen than things at the top. The unit is aprox 3 years old. Any ideas? Thanks, -Jeff
It sounds like the fridge is in need of a regas, but that seems unlikely after only three years, although not impossible. An indication of that would be if the compressor could be heard to be running all the time. If it cuts out after running only a short time it could be the thermostat that has gone faulty.
