You must setup manually your acces point. First go to control panel, under network and internet you'll find a task, view network status and tasks click on it and in next page go to change adapter settings, find local area connection and right click on it and go to properties, in next window highlight internet protocol tcp/ip then click on properties in next window click on use the folowing ip adress and write in ip adress box an ip from 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.253 at your choice in subnet mask box just leave 255.255.255.0 (this apear when you click in these box). Now connect your acces point to the computer via network cable. Then open your internet browser and type in adress box http://192.168.1.254 and hit enter, a pop up will apear and ask for user name and password, write admin in both boxes user and password and hit enter, after that you will be able to manually configure your acces point and setup a name and password for your wireless network, change your user and password for acces your device. Thanks for the instructions however I'm now stuck at the point where i typehttp://192.168.1.254 into the address bar. At this point explorer tells me "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" as opposed to asking for the user name and password.
I did also notice that I may be required to enter a preferred and/or alternative DNS server address after the Subnet mask default field populates. If so, do you know what the DNS address is or where I get it from?

Did you connect your acces point via cable to your computer? If not, you'll not be able to connect via wireless. Tell me if it's working!
