Replace 1 GB memory with 2 GB memory on a Gateway LT23 netbook. After removing 5 screws on the base of the netbook, could not quite easily separate the cover from the base to access memory module. Can anyone help?

Found the solution. There is no need to remove any screw at the base. Pop up the keyboard, undo four screws at the positions marked as 1 on the metallic plate. At the hole marked as 2, insert a screw driver and push firmly downward to disengage the plastic latch. Small gap will appear at the base cover, gently ply the base cover open along the edges. Once the base cover is removed, the hard drive and memory module are visible. Found the solution. There is no need to remove any screw at the base.
