My sharp aquos lcd tv 32 inch usually gets hard time in turning on coz once a brownout occurs and when i turn it on only the green light appears without pictures so i have to unplug it on and off as it takes 10 minutes or more before it works as binary files detecting appears on screen

These blinks (flashes) are fault indication. By the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can vet an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. Hi i have seen this before sharp hdtv's are known for having the internal power supply go faulty

Call Sharp for warrenty repair.This problem very common in Sharp tv.Picture will come on turn power on/off button few times will work.But still under Wareenty call to Sharp to replaced the main Tuner Signal board.

It's either the backlight lamp or backlight inverter is busted due to a power failure or fluctuation. Here's how to determine which is which:

1. Grab a flashlight.
   
2. Turn on the TV.
3. Shine the flashlight onto the screen.
4. If you cannot see any display even a faint one, the backlight inverter is dead, else the backlight lamps are busted.
5. Replace which ever is the culprit.

Tries unplug,replug tries on/off for awhile might work,not than the backlight board it dead.

I called up Sharp, and if you are a part of Sharp AQUOS Advantage Program you get free in home service.

They were very nice about it, and I already have a technician coming to my house on Saturday and I called on Wednesday.

I doubt Sharp's policy alot less now!

Contact Sharp to locate the nearest authorized Sharp servicer. Sharp Aquos servicers have to give Aquos TV top priority. Sharp provides very good and fast serice on these sets.

i hve the same problem. I turned on my Sharp Aquos lc-32d62u HDTV last night for the first time, but it is black and a blinking green light.
