your cet is saying to you that it can only play dvd of a certain region.you need to purchase a dvd player that can play all region dvds. buy a samsung, panasonic or sony all region dvd player they will be able to play all your dvds.good luck.
is it a burned disk? if so your dvd player might not be able to play that type of dvd... i know sometimes also scratched ones won't play at all as well... of course also make sure everything is plugged in correctly and if it does this with more different dvds then there's something wrong with the player itself... which i hope is not the case as those are very difficult to fix yourself
You may have a dirty lens on the DVD read head. There are CD/DVD cleaning kits available at some drug stores and electronic stores. Do not get a "CD cleaning kit" (that only cleans the discs), get a "CD/DVD lens cleaning kit" (it will have a special CD and cleaning solution) for $10 to $20.
If that's not it the DVD illumination LED may be dead. If it still plays CDs, but won't play DVDs, that's the problem. There are separate LEDs for playing CDs and DVDs.
Either way, if the cleaning doesn't work, it has to be fixed in an electronics shop.

If you have no issues with any other DVD except THIS one, then You could try looking towards the region code of the DVD. The bottom line is, If you can see other DVD's with no problem, then the issue is the DVD, not your drive or computer.
Yea this is becoz all the normal discs are pirated or copied discs! Some of the original DVD players play only Original Silver Coated discs! They cant play any other normal DVD/CD
