I have spent five days on a publisher document (2002 version) and today it is inaccessible and I'm told "MS Publisher has encountered a problem....etc." It was only a small file and I have already lost two huge ones which were all backed up. Have tried all suggestions from internet such as removing all Nero products, fiddling with registry, activating programme, increasing virtual memory and opening in safe mode but to no avail as the error message still pops up. Some files do open, even ones with a great many pictures but they could all be gone tomorrow. Is there any answer to my problem as I am beginning to hate MS Publisher due to so many hours of work wasted. I am running XP Home Version

You do not say how came to have the Product key for MS Publisher 2007. If this Product Key originally came from a Microsoft Authorized or other legitimate source with the original installation disc and is actually an unused, unregistered, unactivated, genuine, MS Publisher 2007 Product ID or Activation Code but you have either mislaid or damaged the original disc to which it relates, then you could beg, borrow or buy any MS Publisher 2007 or MS Office 2007 disc with which to install the program, using your code when a code is requested during the installation process. You could borrow a disc from a friend or a workplace. You could go to a local repair centre with a comprehensive software library. You could buy a disc on eBay.

Try uninstalling Publisher and reinstall just Publisher into the computer.
