Hello
To clean the lens and mirrors of your projection tv follow up please.

Unplug the TV from the power supply. Never undertake any type of repairs on electric equipment without first disconnecting from power. Take care in handling any electric parts, as some may contain a residual charge that can shock you.

Remove screws from the back cover and connection area of the TV. Be sure to put them in a safe place, or on a piece of paper with notations for where each one fits in the television

Gently remove the back cover. Locate the mirror and three projection "guns," as these are what you want to clean eventually

Use a camera lens cleaning cloth (or other very soft and gentle cloth) to clean the mirror and lens. Gently remove any other dust before closing the TV.

Replace the back cover and screws. Plug back in the power supply

Turn on the television. Check to see that everything works correctly and that your picture is now clearer

Just replaced color wheel. When TV turned on seemed fine but then i noticed a grey/black shadow band on one side. What could be the cause?

I had a similar issue with mine from the factory. There was a grey/black shadow in the upper left. Called for repair. The guy took off the circular access panel on the left back side and there was a fingerprint on the projection lense. He cleaned it and it disappeared. Sounds the same. Maybe touched the lense replacing the color wheel?

Ultravision Digital TV has shadows and vertical

I believe it is either interference or a convergence issue. To fix an issue with convergence try to find a convergence setting in the menu. If thatr doesn't work try to clean your projection lenses with a q-tip and alcohol.
Good Luck.

My 51" sony rear projector has blue shadow on image. pictures are fine but it has blue shadow. how can I fix that?

Clean the mirror or the blue color gun. You may have it next to a powerful magnet from a speaker system that can also distort the blue. If thats not it it may be bad convergence ICs

Red shadow on tv

If this is a projection tv a shadow usually indicates bad convergence. If you cannot adjust convergence from customer menu have a professional replace convergence amplifiers and reconverge

Sony KP-61HS10 Rear projection TV blurry /shadows at first start

Sounds like the convergence ic's need to be replaced or resoldered. Sometimes it can be a microfuse if you are lucky. But my question is if you hit the focus button up front does it make it thru the auto convergence? Let me know. Have a good one.
