Does it have an analog tuner? or do I have to buy one?

I believe it has an analog tuner (NTSC) only. The original remote is pictured here: http://www.replacementremotes.com/philips/buy-313923807911-remote-control.html . The TV is listed as having been available in 2004 from Amazon.com. The manufacturer didn't have to include a digital tuner until 2005 for 36"+ models. For a 17" TV, they didn't have to have a tuner until 2007.

A digital comb filter is not a tuner. It helps improve the appearance of digital content by splitting the luminance (brightness) and chrominance (color) of a digital video signal (DVD, or other set-top box). Please provide the model number of the TV for additional information about the tuner. Normally the tuners will be listed as NTSC (analog), ATSC (digital), Clear QAM (unencrypted digital cable) in the US. In other countries you have PAL (analog) or DVB-T (standard definition digital terrestrial) or DVB-C (standard definition digital cable) signals.

Yes,LCD tv have digital tuner inside.Just buy a digital antena.Plug it in the antena analog whole.Go to menu setup go down to ch.rescan should have all free air channels.

If you are refering to signal you receceive on an antenna, then yes. It's actually called a Digital Tuner. The standard analog tuners that are in most older TV's will work for the Analog signals that you will probibally still be receiving, the Digital signals will not be available to you. This will depend on if stations in your area are at transmitting in Digital or analog or both. These boxes are the devices the government was either giving away, or making availalbe for a low cost to those whom need it via cupons. This has ended, but you can check this gov site out that talks in detail about it. You can buy the Digital Tuner boxes for pretty cheap from what I havce seen, but you will probibally need an antenna also.

If you want to be able to use your remote, and touch screen functions for the tuner then you need to buy the clarion tuner to match. If you dont mind having a seperate remote tocontrol you stations, then you can use any brand. If you are buying off the web, be sure it is a Dtv converter, and not an analog tuner, or you won't get any stations.( Lots of people are trying to unload old out dated analog tuners on the web, so be careful)

The digital tuner has nothing to do with the new signal you will be receiving in February of next year. The new video signal is a digital signal. The old video signal is analog. Your television receives the analog signal and converts it to what you see on television. You need a converter box to convert the new digital signal back to an analog signal your television can convert.

Look here, there is a phone were you can call and ask, as you can read, this article says nothing about that feature so I think is not digital ready, is a verry good combo and I never see one in my shop or other shop in my area that means is a good one, if you live in US or in a US posesion as Pueerto Rico the federal gob. will give you a $40 dollar value to buy a digital to analog converter......good luck and rate me
