If your laptop appears to boot up and the hard disk LEDflashes, then the problem is probably a back light fault. This can be a faultyinverter or a faulty CCFL lamp. How to we break the boot password of acer travel mate 4000 laptop

Try to login to your BIOS by pressing F2 when you turn on your computer. In BIOS screen go to Security Tab , there you can disable Password on Boot.
