I have an lg gm-b208sts wich is only 14 months old and the fridge section stopped working and doesn't seem to have any airflow. It is making wierd noises but only every now and then. The sad part is i've lost or misplaced all purchace paperwork including warranty. I have only just this minute taken the freezer panel off to see ice clumped all around the fan. The whole time we've had it, it has been on number 4 setting for both fridge and freezer. what would be causing this to happen now? {the drain and vents were was not blocked). Any advice would be very much appreciated, Garry.

SOURCE: Iced up Samsung RS21 JGNS Help!!

Defrost the unit and after defrosting, with the unit unplug rotate the fan blade manually using your finger. The fan should rotate freely, the blade should not touch the fan frame. Slow rotation of fan motor can cause icing. Worn out bearing, misalign fan blade, partially burn fan motor can slow the rotation of blower motor. But if the blower operate normally, then the unit may be under charge of refrigerant. Qualified technician is needed with this problem.

SOURCE: Sub-Zero 550 - freezer unit is chilling, but not freezing

Ice maker was intermittent at best - ice was often just a shell. After two failures to correct we had the ice maker (a Whirlpool - on a Sub Zero - Go figure) replaced. Then the paddle that detects the ice level broke. Next step a new GE.

My lg gm-313sc keep on work and stop in lest than 3 minits

The refrigeration is short cycling. The cause may be due to airflow problem. There is an outside fan thalt blows across a radiator and another in the inside the fridge enclosed behind panels.
These two fans must run and blow across the refrigeration radiators. The outside one can clog with lint and dirt, the inside one can clog with ice buid up, or the fans simply quit working. Check that the fans run and that the radiator coils are clean and clear to airflow. For the outside one, paneling will need to be removed, as well for the inside one if the outside one does not do the trick.
The refrigerator compressor short cycles because it overheats. The cool refrigeration gas entering the compressor cools it and when the gas is not kept cool, the compressor may short cycle.
There may be a different problem but checking for airflow is a start.

Freezer doesn't run

Can you please provide Model number for your fridge? Also it would greatly help if you can take a temperature reading of your Freezer and Fridge section after the theremometer has been in each compartment for 15 minutes or more.

What would cause the airflow to stop to fridge when freezer door is closed? (kenmore model 106)

Ice in the path of air flow to fridge. The freezer also kkeps the fridge cold via a fan that blows the cold air from feezer to fridge.

Hi, I have an LG refrigerator, the top freezer works fine but the fridge section has stopped cooling, I turned the unit off and next morning there was a large puddle of water on the floor, when I turned it...

When the fridge is not cooling that means the fan are not working or not working properly, need to replace or check if their is an ice bothering the fan to turn. ok

Freezeris -1 fridge 47 degreeze F

I'd check all the venting make sure there is no plastic bags blocking the vents in the freezer and or fridge compartments. for some reason there doesnt seem to be proper airflow.find the fride door switch and hold it in the closed position with the door open and feel for airflow around the fridge vents. If theres none or very lttle you might have a defrost problem. Check for frost on the back wall inside the freezer.

Refrigerator section warm. Freezer section OK.

Most likely it's a defrost system problem. One of the heaters could be bad and that will cause the coils to freeze up reducing the amount of cold air the fan can push into the fridge. Sounds wierd but, trust me, that could be your problem. Mine did that two years ago.
