Are you going to do a clean install?

then you will have to access the boot device menu and select the cd drive or usb drive (whatever you are installin off of) and then install the Red Hat Linux hope this helps if not then please leave a comment

You may need raid controller driver for HP proliant ml 350. Copy raid controller driver in flopy disc, insert it in flopy drive, insert cd in cd driver, boot server from cd and start installation process, as soon as you see Press F6 if you need to install third party scsi drivers or raid controller, press F6 and follow the instruction. It will then ask you to select RAID driver file and then will continue to windows xp installation.

I believe you are referring to the HP SmartStart CD.

Hello,

As long as the server meets the XP minimum spec, you can insert the XP boot disc and reboot your server. As long as the CD/DVD is bootable, you should be ableto install XP without incident.

windows xp is an OS for regular desktops if you install it on a server you will have problems to find drivers for the different chip-sets embedded i the system board

I need to install windows server 2003 (standard edition) on a HP Proliant ML110 G4 server but I do not have the easy setup CD (smart start CD) and it would not have me install directly from the OS...
here is the download link for the easy set up cd, this is for the ml110 g5, however it is backward compatible so it should work in the ml110 g4

To install windows server 2003 on HP servers you need Smartstart CD, you can download that cd from hp site:

1. For x32 is this link:

I need driver hp proliant to install
If you are installing an OS from scratch, download the Proliant SmartStart CD for your server from HP. You simply boot from this CD and follow the instuctions to load your OS. Smartstart will configure your drives, pre-load drivers, and gracefully pass control over to the OS installer.

Problem with scsi driver proliant ml 370 for NT4
Are you attempting to boot from the Windows CD?

If you are booting the server from a Windows installation disk and it is unable to detect the hard drive, this typically means the following things.
You need to provide the driver for the RAID controller of the server (this can vary, depending on the version of the ML370 e.g. G4/G5)
If it still cannot detect the hard drive after providing the driver for the RAID controller or if there is not a driver available for NT4, it may not support the controller.
In this case you can remove the RAID set by entering the RAID setup (could be LSI or adaptec). NOTE THIS WILL DESTROY ALL DATA ON THE DISKS THAT ARE A PART OF THIS RAID SET.
