Question about Amana Washing Machines
Most likely the screens are filled with sediment.shut off the water shut off, mark the hoses so when you put it back you'll know where the hot and cold hoses go.remove the hoses and stick them into the washer, turn on the water and see how it sprays out to make sure it's not the house water problem,if it comes out with force you know it's the valve on the washer, you can try cleaning out the screens but it's best to change out the water valve on the washer.i've seen people clean the screens and then they still have problems with the valve, sediment gets in the valve,it doesn't seat right and the washer floods over,if you shut the water off every time you use it then you can try cleaning the valve out and the screens and see how it works but if it were my machine i'd change out the valve.call your parts store, give them the model number and there might be a p number too, and they will give you the right valve for your washer, next time send the model number with your question.good luck

Check to see if there's good water volume coming through the hoses attached to the washing machine. If there is, check to see if the screens inside the water-inlet valve are clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If they're clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you should completely replace the valve.
