No hack for this player! Best idea is burn region free copies with Anydvd (by Slysoft)and dvd shrink (both free but Anydvd will ask for a fee eventually)
Anydvd strips out all the regions

In most models the unit cannot converted to multi-regions.So it will play only in the specified region in which it is applicable to.But in some unit models there is a procedure to turn the unit to multi region so it can play all region dvd.On all models the procedure to convert the unit to multi region is different. As you have not mentioned the exact model number of your unit.t will not be easy to give exact details. If in case there is a procedure to convert your unit to multi region.

Hi,
if its saying wrong region. then either your player or disk is incompatable. region 1 ntsc ( USA ) Region 2 ( UK ) et,c. check your players region coding is compatable for your country, and that you are also playing a dvd with the same region coding as the player. alternatively is to try and find a region free or multi-region solution.

Turn on power. Open lid. Enter 9735 with the remote and press 'enter', you can now choose between regions on the screen. Select the desired region unlock and press 'enter'. This works well!
For me the problem was with a Philips DVD player. I Googled the make, model and "wrong region code" and got some solutions. Try this approach. Some websites offer to sell you a solution; hopefully, you should be able to avoid this!
Sony units are a bit tricky to hack and make region free and/or change region. Most require specialized IrDA controllers. Pls try this site and the information there may be of help to you.
