It is the bulb, fuze, power board, or video processing board. Only the bulb or a fuze is user replaceable. All others you should seek out a qualified service tech.

Why no picture, no sound?

A loud "pop" in any electronic device is the equivalent of a massive heart attack for a human. They normally don't survive them. The noise is from some capacitor somewhere in the device exploding from old age or a power surge. And old age for newer TVs is in the range of 3 years, some even less. It's the way they make them these days...they want you to be buying a new one in just a few years, so they under-engineer the electronics to the bare minimum so they don't have the long-lasting lifetime of the older style electronics we have come to appreciate.

Heard a pop coming from tv, no picture but do have sound.

Power supply board has lost a component, most likely a capacitor.

Model 35 gt695 no pic or sound .went to move tv to clean and seen a flash on top right of screen.worked fine after that .in the morning came on fine for 10 minutes then heard a pop and it went off.light...

Most likely the high voltage transformer took a dive. If the picture was still good before it went out it is probably worth a check out fee. Another possibility is that there was a loose solder joint developing and moving the set around helped the loose joint come completely undone. Thanks

Tv turns on w/pic then pic dissapears light blinks 4 times

I have the same issue, we've had to change our bulb three times in less than two years. now we have 61" expensive paper weight. Our current bulb is less than 6 months old. The TV is only 2 years old and like i said this is our third bulb.

the blue light blinks 4 times. you get sound. then a few minutes the the picture returns... then it goes out, and the cycle goes on.

A solution to this would be greatly appreciated.

Blown Picture

There is not much you can do to fix your plasma. Since the plasma is less then 1 year old, still under Samsung warranty.
I would suggest to call them to fix it.
Good luck.

No pic No sound

I would call PTS at 18008447871 and find out how much a new deflection board cost, because by the time you find out what is wrong and start replacing things you will be out more money. Not including the smell that means probably the flyback was burning or arching.
