Unless you oddly have a key stuck on your keyboard (which will make this sound), the constant beep usually indicates that the CPU fan has failed and the CPU is overheating.. check that it is working ok and if this is not the case, please repost.

It is either video problem or memory module problem. Try this... 1. Change your memory module. If got display screen, go to bios then load default. 2. If no display even changing the memory module, try put video card on it. Hope this help.

Tiny laptop. Loud constant beep during start up, will not start.

This problem is commonly happen form the memory or RAM. At this time you need to check the memory. Remove the memory and turn it on identify in there is sound provided. This could be a problem with the system memory, an expansion card, or the motherboard.
Try to use another RAM or use the another memory slot. Clean the RAM and also the memory slot.

Good luck!

I have a presario 3017cl, when i turn it on the screen is black and it beeps constantly

Need to know the specific number of beeps to analyze this but all computers need three things to fire. Ram memory, CPU and video. Those are the root of most beep codes. Check your ram memory sticks and make sure they're fully inserted in motherboard. Make sure the video card is inserted properly if it's not an onboard video. If it's not one of these then you probably need to find a professional and it's a pretty good chance the motherboard may be bad.

Constant beeping and will not re-boot

Question- the beeping, is it short (1 second beeps) or long (2 or more seconds) and how many before it stops? or doesn't it? does it have any rhythm? The beeps correlate to some hardware problem, if you want to check the beeps yourself, just google "Bios beeps" and it will bring up a table of what the beeps mean.

Black screen

The beeps are probably BIOS beep error codes. Through a series of long and short beeps the computer communicates computer problems that occur early in the startup processes. It's likely the problem isn't your monitor but something in your computer box itself. If you can tell us what the pattern is we can start diagnosing your problem. We'll also need to know the manufacturers name, the specific model computer you have and what operating system you are running.
