I took my Sansa back to the store under warrenty, They exchanged it straight across. Really the only advise your team gave me was to take the battery out and turn the unit back on- I had already done this several times before I contacted your site. I wasn't thrilled with the advise given to me
Software corrupt. Try finding out how to install it again or update firmware. If you cant, get another brand. THey like cheap, stop trying to ressurect the dead
Download the Sansa firmware upgrader and install it first. Then, hold in the volume + button on your Sansa player and connect the Sansa to your computer (while it is in the OFF position). The computer will recognize the player after you continue holding the volume + button for 5-50 seconds. Restart your computer. You will lose all files stored on the Sansa, but it will work again.
I would recommend you to go to the sandisk site to update the firmware on your device or you can contact sandisk to they can help you with updating the firmware on your device..Please follow the link below to get the firmware http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1376

The number for sandisk is 1-866-726-3475 Please rate accordingly Thank you Computerrep
Please try to reset the device by holding the power button for about 15 to 20 seconds..that should reset the device...If that doesnt help go to the sandisk website to download the firmware application...
Go to the Sansa website, and get the Sansa recovery tool: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.asp
Go ahead and do this, in case you have Windows Media Player 11 or the DB is corrupted:
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/DriverDownloads.aspx
The best results that I have had were to hold the power button
for about 15 seconds. ( if you only hold it for 3 seconds it goes
into sleep mode). This shuts the device off. Then restart
it.
When I plug in my Sansa the screen fades on and then a white screen but it fades back to before and continues for hours.
