Intel easy pc camera driver problem

Hi,
i recently had to re-install windows ME on my pc..i now cannot install the camera...i installed the software from the cd..but when i plugged the cam into the pc..it went through found hardware process..then told me that the file kstvtune.ax was not found..& was unable to install...i have tried to install the driver from the intel site...but still the pc is telling me that it was unable to find the software for it...i have used the cam many times before so i know it works with this pc...but i have just hit a brick wall...please help...

Normal 0 Did you install the software with the camera connected to the computer? Disconnect the camera from the USB port and reinstall the software. When the program asks you to connect the camera, do so, and it should work. Hope this is of some help. Bud

Below is info for setting up Audio & Video to chat on line after you install , either Skype or a messenger program.

Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.
Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.
A. Skype Setup:
After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:

Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
Then click on the Video Settings.
The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.
B. Yahoo Setup:
After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:

Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.

Hi patidebahuti,

The webam's software and driver that is compatible with Windows Vista can be downloaded on this link. For the wfebcam's driver look for CAMERA and you'll see underneath the driver for Windows Vista. And for the software, look for SOFTWARE then select Easy Capture.

Here's how:

1. First, click on the driver's name (Lenovo Easy Camera Driver).
2. You'll be routed on another page. Just click on Download.
3. Once it's downloaded to your laptop, double click on the icon to install it.
4. Finally, you'll be asked to Reboot/Restart your PC.

The same process goes with the installation process for your Easy Capture installation.

Have Intel Easy PC Camera, need Vista driver

1st You download Webcam Driver. Intel Cam Driver For Vista After this install the Webcam driver in the system.
Installation of Webcam Driver

Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager then
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.

I have an Intel Easy Pc Camera and it states it works with Windows 98 but I have Windows XP. How can I make it work.

You more than likely need to download and install the driver. You do not list the exact model you have. Here is the driver for the CS120. Make sure this is the correct driver before downloading. If not look for the correct one for your model. http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/212087/intel-easy-pc-camera(cs120)-driver-1.0.0.37-windows-xp-free-download.html If this does not solve your problem just buy a new camera that will work with XP. They are dirt cheap.

Hi,
The only thing you can try is windows update. Go to start, program, windows update, run the update and look for a hardware update in the left column, make sure the web cam is pluged in and turn on first.
