We have no pets. Top and front inside refrigetator got extremely hot after using a refrigerator brush to clean the coils underneath. Cleaned again after reading the suggested solution article posted herein, being careful to make sure the insulation from the back didn't get removed nor moved to around the coils. The top front is just warm now (next day), but it is still quite hot between the doors. Wondering if it is still hot because some of the insulation that came out when cleaning the first time needs to be replaced now.We have no pets. Had this same problem and turned out that the coils at back of fridge and below doors were covered in dog hair. After vacuuming, area is no longer warm.

The door is heated so it doesn't stick shut with ice. It may be that the condenser is clogged or the fan isn't running, causing excessive heat in the strip. Clean the condenser thoroughly and check the fan.
I have seen a programme on TV which showed a cable between the doors which over time with constant opening and closing became worn. I should contact the manufacturer.
Sounds like the Coils under the refrigerator are extremely dirty and need to be cleaned with a brush in order for the heat to escape at the bottom rather than the door divider.
you may need to purchase a refrigerator coil cleaning brush for a few dollars remove the bottom grill, it should unsnap by hand and start scrubbing and vacuuming.
The divider between the side by side frigerator/freezer where the door closes and seals is extremely hot- too hot to touch. Is something wrong with my refrigerator, should i unplug it?
Hi: Its just a coincidence you noticed it then. It is usually hot. It's the reverse side of the refrigerant (the hot side.) If you lived in a humid area the fridge would sweat. Water would run down between the doors. I live in a dry climate so no worries. Older fridges used an electric heating element to keep them dry. They also had an energy saver switch to turn it off. As Whirlpool uses the hot side of the refrigerant they don't use additional power to run the heater. Actually the heater is called a mullion heater. Nothing is wrong with your fridge. I'll look over my shoulder for angry retailers. Hope this helps, Jeff.
First take the grill off at the bottom under the doors look at the grate under the frig That is your condenser it will probably be covered in dust clean it off the see if you can fill air blowing under the frig there is a fan under there that keeps that coil cool and it runs around the door to keep condensation from build around the doors if no air is blowing take the back panel behind the Frig and there should be a fan running if the compressor is running this will also cause the compressor to over heat and will not cool as well but it might just need to be cleaned Good luck
this is happening because company used pipes inside refrigerator body, as you mentioned now its heating more than normal,. need some technician to check if there any blockage etc. otherwise less heating of body is normal.
