As you probably have an idea it is black toner related as in there is insufficient black toner going onto the drum and the density sensor throws a toner dispenser error as a result. It's not a low toner issue as you said they are new so it has to be a dispenser issue. The toner is taken from the dispenser to the drum via an auger drive which is driven by a motor. Either it is not turning through a fault or more likely it is clogged up with old hardened toner making it bind or preventing insufficient new toner flowing through. (often happens if toner has got damp in storage at some point and it hardens in lumps when it dries)
.
Because the toner is extremely nasty stuff to breath and servicing the dispenser is messy and requires a toner vac to remove the old toner safely (it has special filters), i strongly recommend you get someone to take a look at the dispenser for you.
Even a technician may not want to repair a fault in the dispenser itself if it is confirmed for the reasons above. They may want to replace the dispenser as a unit.
Call Xerox. The Corporation needs to take responsibility for selling a machine that has toner available. //They should tell you where to get the toner or provide some for you. Start out nice but don't let the push you around; insist if you need to. Xerox can't sell a machine with no toner.
Hi there! The blue color is becoming violet because the Cyan and the Magenta toners are not getting mixed in the proper 100:100 ratio (100% Magenta and 100% Cyan make CMYK Blue). Since the print is violet, the culprit is the Cyan toner. Now, first, get the Cyan Developer Assy checked if there is enough developer in it. If no, get it refilled by a proper tech and manually mix about 50 grams of the Cyan Toner with the developer. Also get the tech to check the trimmer gap on the Developer Assy with a metering gauge. If yes, next check the Cyan dispenser motor located on the backside of the Toner Housing Assy. It is probably broken and not dispensing any toner to the Cyan Developer Assy . Additionally, check for the Cyan Dispenser Auger blockage or jam. It is located under the Cyan Toner Cartridge in the Toner Housing Assy and also check the auger under the Cyan Developer Assy. After sorting these out, you should get proper CMYK blue from the 10th or 12th page once you resume printing.Let me know. Regards
Checked in Diagnostic cyan dispense motor and Cartridge motor working fine with cyan toner cartridge out, but when observed carefully by removing the cyan cartridge motor and coupling I could see that the D cut of cyan coupling was worn out as compared to other coupling of magenta , yellow, black.
I put a packing of transparency in the D cut slot of the coupling so that the gear gives proper drive to the cyan toner cartridge and doesn't slip. The packing worked fine and the problem of customer was resolved.
That is an issue with the cyan toner dispenser. Blue toner is not getting through the dispenser into the system.
You can try vacuuming out the cyan dispenser, but most likely the auger or gear is broken.
Slight chance the IOT board is bad, but not likely.
The low toner sensor detects that is not cyan toner for a period of 8 minutes. Probably the augers are blocked disasembly and clean the augers or change the toner dispenser motor
to fined out what the problem could be you need to open a word doc and sent a blank page to the printer. from this it will show where the problem is in the printer
if u still get streaking it couls be a faulty toner and it may not be the cyan toner either. i would give the fuser unit in the printer a check. if there marks on tthis unit i can cause this problem as well
