Logitech Marble Mouse USB (LOM9043600403) Logo
Posted on Mar 18, 2011

I accidentally fumbled and dumped an entire cup of coffee on my Logitech marble mouse! I extracted the ball, dried everything off inside and out, and even cleaned the little optical window inside the socket. But the cursor is frozen and will not move. I tried unplugging it and drying it out for a full day. I still have the same problem. Cursor is frozen in place--in about the same location on my screen! This mouse is supposed to be quite heavy duty and immune from problems such as I describe--but apparently not mine! Can I take it apart and clean it? What's inside? If I unscrew the baseplate will a lot of parts fall out? Help! I absolutely cannot abide the standard mouse. I don't know how people work with them! Can you help me get my marble mouse back!? Thanks!

Turn it belly side up. If there is a retaining ring turnit counter-clockwise to remove it Pop out the ball.
There are three little bearings about the and shape ofa BB Take a Q tip and dry and or remove any debris on the BBs There should also be a little black rectangle. This is thewindow that the sensor looks at the ball through, Clean/dry it with Q-tip. Put it back together and try again.

Replacement marble ball where can I get one

Hi
On european english-languaged site of logitech you can find spare part shop

http://www.logitech.com/en-roeu/349/4872?pcid=4872&debug=0

there are only blue balls in 5Eur/piece cost, but looking into some forums I fonud answer that someone succesfully tried if trackman (so marble would too) works with blue ball (of course You should confirm it by finding the same kind of posts on some forums before buying)

Worst of all is they're do not offer posting to USA grrrrr !
Cheapest is posting to Germany (5,51Eur), so if You have someone in Germany, they can send You it to USA

Eventually try to look on asian site of Logitech, maybe there's english-languaged site version, ant they offer shipping to USA

Greets :)

Cursor jumps all over with a touch of the mouse why

trackballs and other ball mouses have an optical sensor inside the cup that holds the ball. dirt, lint and debris that falls into the optical sensor can make the cursor jump around - the sensor detects the debris as if it were a ball movement. Clean the inside of the cup and the jumping should stop.

Cleaning the cup -- first clean the three points that hold the ball up. They tend to grap whatever dirt or grease gets onto the ball from the user's hand. Clean the rectangular sensor window with a que-tip or by blowing into it. Get any stuck debris out of the corners. Finally, turn the mouse over, without the bal inside, and tap it on a hard surface. This can knock loose any remaining debris that can fall into the sensor window.

When pushing button for a cup of coffee to be made - the beans are grinding and dumping in the box - however no water is coming thru to empty into my cup - the water is being dumped into the reservoir...

Hi
Dry grounds dumped.
There is a lever at the top of the door on the right side. Yours is actually inside the door on the machine. Pull the lever back 1 notch from the plus(+) . You are dumping too much coffee in the brew unit and it can not compress it, so it dumps it, or breaks the drive gears. Never push the lever all the way or it can cause this overcharge. Its fine if the brew group is clean but when you make coffee there is always a residue left and this is what causes the overcharge.

The trackball can be removed by pulling up on it a little to the right or left of center.

Logitech Trackman Marble T-CH11

I clean my marble with a mild dish soap. Dry. Then spray the ball with Pledge or some other furniture polish. Let dry for a few minutes and then polish with a lint free cloth. I have to do mine every 6 months or so. When cleaning the contacts I only use a small paintbrush. If you get alcohol on the sensory window, although using a q-tip, you can still scratch the surface.

Good Luck...

Logitech 4 button trackball,

I love this trackball mouse, yet they are very sensitive to wear and trash that causes them to fail. Wal-Mart sells great ones like the Logitech LX3 optical mouse that are not as sensitive and have more features
