I RENEWED THE XM THIS WEEK BUT CAN'T GET IT TO CONNECT IN THE CAR. IT KEEPS GIVING ME A PHONE NUMBER TO CALL 1-800-643-2112. THE LADY TOOK OVER 10MIN TO ANSWER MY CALL THEN COULDN'T HELP ME PUT ME OVER TO A TECHNICAL PERSON WHO DIDN'T ANSWER AFTER 5 MIN SO I HUNG UP. HOW DO I GET MY RADIO CONNECTED? I CAN GIVE YOU MY RADIO ID J448UOCW.

You have to call them and give them the XM number for the one you purchased. Much like a cell phone provider uses the Electronic Serial Number to match your phone to the tower.
internal heat capacitor or even a bad connection indside amp is bad giving you a hi output load wich the amp has an auto matic sensor to send it into this offset you speak of so it does not burn up
sounds to me like you need to check the continuity to ground on the power line for the xm, you may have a power to ground short or a loose wire in the xm harness
