Hello

Apex TVs use a four digit code to control the v-chip. The override code for many models is 6688. Other sets may not have one, or may have a default code of 1225 instead of an override code.

  1. To use the override code:
  2. Hit the MENU key to get to the menus.
  3. Go down to the SYSTEM menu and hit the right arrow on the remote control.
  4. Once in the SYSTEM menu, go to PARENTAL GUIDE. It will ask for your code.
  5. Enter the override code listed above. From here, you can turn on and off different rating restrictions, as well as set a new code.
No matter what the V-chip code is set to, the override code will still work. If you have a blank screen with a red key on the bottom left, simply press the (function or F) button and the mute button at the same time. This will unlock the screen and allow you to view the channel as desired
OK.

I have a whirlpool microwave WM1107ADWC and I want to turn off the Child lock. How can I do it? I don't have kids and i want to save time when I use my microwave. Thanks

Child locks on microwaves act as a safety feature to prevent children from getting harmed or from causing other possible damage. The child safety lock does not lock access to the microwave; it simply prevents the microwave from being operated. To remove the child lock press the Stop button three times.

Lock the microwaveIf you wish to re-lock the microwave, perform a similar procedure. Instead of pressing the Stop button you need to press the Start button. Press the Start button three consecutive times to lock the microwave. This enables the child lock once again and prevents the microwave from being operated.
check this video also. Many Whirlpool microwaves are made by LG. between these two you should get it.

Child locked on my tv

Possibly, you will need an original remote to disable or turn off this feature. And some child lock can be accessible through neither MENU of your tv or remote. Check CHILD LOCK option to remove it. If it is a screen lock type of CHILD LOCK feature of tv (a Blue Background display a LOCK icon) and your original remote is lost, try a universal remote for you to possibly unlock it. Thanks for using Fixya.

How to remove child lock

Locate the manual for your television. Though slightly embarrassing, accidentally turning on the child lock to a TV is a common problem. The section In the manual about how to set the child lock feature will also explain how to unlock it.

Try a few "universal methods" for unlocking the child lock. Some televisions have a universal code built in for disabling the child lock --no matter what your code is. A common code is "0000."
Unplug your television for a few minutes. The internal battery of the TV is what helps remember what your code. If the TV is unplugged for an extended period of time, it clears the internal memory, which in turn will reset your child lock code
