I was hoping someone could help me, i have a philips gogear sa52xx 8gb. and it had a problem where it would freeze often so i just repaired it but after it won't start up properly anymore, or my pc won't pick it up but like the last few moments after i repaired it i think i saw the firmware version at 0 or something. can someone help me please.

I had this same problem. I had put GoGear Opus software on my SA52xx player. When I uninstalled the Opus software and resinstalled the SA52x, the problem went away.

try using the philips repair utility to reformat your mp3 player and if that dosnt work try reflashing the firmware on it just goto philips website find your modle and the most up to date firmware for it and try to reflash it

My gogear SA52XX wont show the names of the songs

if it has too many songs on it try deleting some of the songs off the player, and if thats not the case, stop using it for a few days then try to turn it on again

Unfortunately the GoGear HDD series is totally incompatible with Windows Vista and Windows Media Player 11. It will work for a while, and then behave exactly as you described. Solution: You will need to uninstall your GoGear software, rollback to Windows Media Player 10, reinstall the GoGear software, update the firmware on your player, and even then the damage may already be done (IMO, it is more trouble than this player is worth). You can read about the warnings on Philips website.

The both of you might have 2 different problems. thesunto - there is no way to reload the firmware once you have delted a key system file on this player- go ahead and call Philips to see if you are still under warranty.
