My friend can't receive any more texts or pics on his LG Ally phone (Verizon). The message the phone gives him is that his text storage is full. Also...does "trash" file need to be emptied? How?

The message center number is not correct.

Go to menu, message, message setting, message center.

Copy the message center number form someone using the same network with you because the message center number are the same.

i had the same problem with my lg ally and verizon could not figure out the problem,so i went home and started messsing with my phone and i started taking apps off,and after awhile my phone went back to normal,i cant really tell you which one i took off because i had so many.try this and i think it will fix the problem

Try updating your roaming capabilities, dial *228 (Verizon Customer) .... follow the instructions. This helped my text delays. I make a habit of updating my phone monthly but sooner if I notice I'm having connection issues or text delays.

Such problems occur when your message center number has been tampered with. Call your service provider to get the message center number go to message settings and check the message center in use input the correct center number and your problem is solved.

I mentioned this in another area. We just got my son a motorola razr v3m, verizon. Any time he tried to check his inbox (which is text) or tried to send a text it would show memory full....this was the same if he tried to take a picture and send it.

First take out your battery, with the battery out, hold down you on button for like 15 seconds to drain the phone of juice, then put your battery back in it and turn it on. If this did not reset your phone, and if you are on verizon as your carrier, then you need to call them and make sure that they have you set up on their text messaging program. It used to be that if you didn't have, then they would charge you .20 cents a text, but with some of the razr, such as the v3m, you have to actually be on a monthly text plan to view inbox, send text, send pics, and receive pics and texts.

I get a green arrow when I send to people.
The green arrows turns into a checkmark, when the message is delivered.

With Verizon people this is usually within a minute or so, of course unless my friend has his phone powered off - which he will do, then I don't get a checkmark until his cell gets the message.

With Non-Verizon people I don't get a green checkmark until a day later, must take longer to confirm they got it from another cell company.

The RED X is normally what I get when I try to send to a landline or an invalid phone number, or if I try to send a message - while my phone was getting an incoming message..or to someone who has text blocked. The RED X means it did not go through at all. I will re-send these if I know it's a cell phone that can get text. Then I usually make it to green arrow/then green checkmark.

I had this problem once with another cell and I found out that some of the text messages from other phones, like the LG and PDA phones send with kilobytes that are needed to be "downloaded" through a multi-media package or internet access. If you are able to send texts and they receive them, check with your carrier.
Also, try shutting the phone off and restarting.
