I can not jump start my car from a dead battery because of the alarm I think. As soon as I turn the mini jumper on, the alarm beeps, i try and start it but it wont . Car powers up fully otherwise. Do i need to shut the door or something? It worked the very 1st time I jumped it but shut it off by accident and it hasnt worked since. Frustrating! Can I turn it off temporarily?

My 98 kia sportage wont start

It sounds like the key sensor in the drivers door is malfunctioning, the drivers door is the only door that can enable/disable the alarm, if you try to unlock any of the others it will trigger the alarm.

Sometimes with my Kia I have to (without opening the door), cycle lock and unlock several times before the alarm is disarmed.

Have you tried this is succession, with all the doors locked:-

put the key in the drivers door, turn to lock and then to unlock, the alarm should disarm.

Also, if any of the door locks are jammed, the alarm will still activate when you try to unlock the drivers door.

If that fails and the alarm still activates, then it's a problem with the key sensor in the door.

Alarm won't turn off

the valet key doesnt have a transponder chip in it, so it will allow physical turning of keyways and operations, but will not disable the alarm and often wont disable the immobilizer.

sorry to say i think you will need to get an autolocksmith , or main dealer to get you a functioning key with transponder chip mapped to your cars rfid system that will allow alarm to be enabled /disabled

I just found out my car had an alarm system but was disconnected and i connected it and now car wont start even if i disconnect it again

last ditch effort , disconnect the battery and wait 10 minutes and hope your system re sets itself , not knowing what make your car is , makes this hard to answer, or if it was a factory alarm or aftermarket ,,,, If its a factory alarm, you can do this Open the door with the key. (the alarm will sound but ignore that)
Close the doors, put the key in the ignition
Turn everything off that takes power when you got the ignition on.
Turn the key into first position (IIRC) the alarm will go off again, but still ignore that.
Then sit back and relax for exactly 15minutes, without touching anything nor opening any doors.
Then turn off the ignition.
That's it. Your alarm is now disabled.
Start the car and enjoy.

The engine wont start and the tamper alert system keeps interferring when it's on. What can I do to fix this problem? We believe it may be the fuel line stopped up, but I want to keep more options open to...

Could you explain more? I know mine did that. If you set the alarm off or unhook and reconnect the battery it will disable the computer and the car will not start. Try reconnecting the battery. That will set the alarm off then insert the key into the drivers door and turn it to disable. It could also be problem with the alarm system. Sorry if
Im misunderstanding.

I have a 2007 Toyota Corolla type S. My problem is that when I press the unlock button on my remote the doors unlock and the lights flash however when you open the door the alarm sounds. It has been...

This sounds like a bad alarm module, the doors unlock but the alarm doesnt shut down, so it wont let you start it because its not shutting down, the light flash and door unlock put starter disable and horn stay active, most good alarms have liftime module warranties, if you take it back to who installed it and ask them or if it was already in the car when you bought it then you will need to disable or replace it. hope this helps, also to disable it just trun key on then open a open try key off and within 10 sec push the button under the dash its a small red button this will put it in vallet mode.
