I have a Oki B410d printer We are getting repetitive smudges on paper approx 4 inches apart on one side of the paper. How can we eliminate these please? This printer is designed with a dual toner/drum chamber. Do not separate these two parts. Upon opening the lid, you will find the toner/drum assembly right in front of you. Pick it up with both hands and pull straight up. After that, you should be able to take the jammed papers. Know this: once a paper is jammed, printing another paper will NEVER take the first out. Just make sure to remove the complete papers. If they break, make sure you extract all the pieces.

Hi:

Since you have already replace the toner cartridge then the most likely culprit is the fuser assy. You can test this by trying to print something and stop it by opening the cover just as the paper is trying to pass under the toner cart. Remove the toner cart carefully and look at the unfused print on the paper. Do you see the faint smudges? If not, then the problem lies with the fuser assy. This is the unit that gets hot and fuses the toner to the paper. If this is the case you will need to have a tech replace it for you.

try checking the ink cartridge if it is not faulty. If it is then change it with a new one. Do a maintenance task located in your printers configuration and reboot the printer.
