Hi, Cadillac family.I keep blowing a 10 amp fuse for the fuel pump on my 1984 fleetwood brogham d elegance. wires in the driver side tail fin have been chewed by a family pet. put the caddy in the shop,solved the problem. put my tail fin cover on and still blowing fuses. can someone please help me out with a wiring diagram? miss driving my 84. i think there's a ground wire crossed.

I have an AMP clamp meter
and i clamp to the pump + plus wire
and see overload over 10 amps the pump is bad. or jammed(deep inside)

next I would check wires going to fuel gauge and climate control .more than likely when you took out radio the wiring might had come loose. if still no lights you can put back old radio and see if you have lights. wiring might be part of all three.then it might be possible those bulbs for fuel gauge and climate control might just have burned out especially being an 85

That tells me you have a short someplace. You could have a pinched or broken wire Your car is twenty years old and after a few years the wiring deteriorates and falls apart. May need to replace some wires.

either the fuel pump is shorted, the wiring going to the fuel pump is shorted to groung, or 1 other option, the oil pressure switch is shorted. gm back then ran the fuel pump wiring to the oil pressure swtch as a back up system for the fuel pump. one of these is your problem

I DONT KNOW IF U ARE A MECHANIC BUT THE BEST WAY TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM IS GETTING A WIRING SCHEMATIC. IT WILL HELP U SEE IF ANYTHING ELSE IS WIRED INTO THE CIRCUIT BESIDES THE FUEL PUMP

Usually a fuel pressure test will confirm, but if there's power going to it for sure, then replacement sounds like the cure, and filter.
