Had the same problem on my GE bottom freezer fridge. It finally died a few days ago. The clicking came from a relay on the main circuit board under a access cover on the back of the fridge. Ordered a new circuit card from GE ($157.50 + ship/handeling), replaced it, and the fridge works great. I have an electronics background but if you take your time and are safe, I think anybody would be able to change it.

Ge profile refigerator /bottom freezer. Power in area had gone out . with power restored fridge tries to start, but then you hear a clickink noise, like a relay going on and off. The temp control readout...

Hi,

First of all, the clicking noise could be the overload relay on the compressor. Secondly, the temperatures have me concerned for they should not be in the negative number. Verify the compressor issue first, put your hand on the compressor, check to see if its running or if its warm to the touch.
I also need a model number to direct you further to parts and other issues.

GE model PDS22SFSALSS temp lights of the power control board blinking and clicking, what should I do

I have owned this fridge for less than 5 years. I had the same problem..very annoying...come to find out that the motherboard controlling the fan went bad. I will never own another GE fridge again, too many problems with GE. I paid for a sevice tech to come out and fix/replace the motherboard..$150.00 later and now the freezer portion doesn't seal and is always defrosting! I cleaned and checked all the gaskets, even cleaned the coils...still no solution. Time to put this dinosaur on craiglist and buy Samsung.

Hello I have a GE lower freezer model # PDS22SBSARSS AND THE TEMP CONTROL is clicking and the digital readout is doing weird things by indicating wrong temperature and clicking, it stops after awhile...

Roll the refrig out and determine where the clicking noise is comming from. If it is form the small rectangular cover on back, replace the main board (WR55X10942) located under it. If the clicking is comming from the compressor area (at the very bottom, behind the cover which goes all the way across the bottom of the refrig) then replace the relay (WR07X10086) and overload (WR08X10061) located where the wires attach to the compressor, and for good measure, the capacitor (WR62X79 ). (located just to the left of the compressor)

The refrigerator temp lights are flashing on and off and its making a clicking noise..ge profile refrig with freezer on bottom. I unplugged for 5 minutes and replugged with no help

your main-board/motherboard is bad,a telltale sign is,if just recently had light bulbs burn out in the refrige compartment and now they strobe dimly and the digital temp readout is also out and you sometimes hear relays clicking back there, the board took a voltage surge and ruined the circuit trace, replacement is simple, unplug 3 harnesses and snap in new board and plug in new board and youre good to go
